Kylie and Dean also have close ties to the community and have donated considerable time, money and expertise to local groups and associations and numerous charitable, sporting and not for profit bodies.   It was this focus on customer service and satisfaction that has led to the expansion of the business into a new and exciting area. Some four years ago Files Stibbe commenced talks with Mr Bruce Baynes from Professional Investment Services Caloundra, about this issue. Bruce has had a long association with the firm and Bribie Island and has impressed many clients with his down to earth and honest nature.   Bruce's association with Professional Investment Services is an added bonus for Files Stibbe clients. Professional Investment Services are the largest independent group of financial advisers in Australia, and pride themselves on not being driven by any one particular investment product, but rather having access to all the best products in the marketplace. 	Our Most Recent Awards At a gala awards evening recently held at Caboolture, Bribie Island legal firm Files Stibbe Lawyers was awarded the Micro Business of the Year Award. Nominated in the category of Professional Service, Files Stibbe won that category for the third time, and then went on to take out the evenings major award, much to the delight of partners Dean and Kylie Stibbe,     "We were honoured just to have been nominated by our clients, then we were excited to find out we were a finalist. It was unbelievable though to hear our name called out twice on the night!" said partner Dean Stibbe. "It is testament to the hard work that Kylie, myself and our staff have put into our business over the past 14 years of operation, and the service that we have provided to our clients during this time".   These most recent awards have added to an amazing list of achievements for the firm since its establishment in 1996. This includes 6 Professional Service Awards in the Quest Newspapers Business Achiever Awards, and 5 Excellence in Business Awards. Files Stibbe Lawyers have also been inducted into the Silver Hall of Fame, an honour awarded only to those businesses who have won 5 or more awards. Files Stibbe are the first business in the Caboolture Shire to attain this goal.   The firm has long been recognised for its achievements in the local and wider community, having won or been finalists in a number of awards including Queensland Young CPA of the Year, Telstra Young Businesswoman of the Year and the Excellence in Business Awards.
	Celebrating Thirteen Years Files Stibbe Lawyers are this year celebrating thirteen years in business on Bribie island. On 2 January 1996 Kylie Files (now Stibbe) and Dean Stibbe opened Files Stibbe & Associates Solicitors, having previously worked for Andrew Rae and Associates and purchasing that practice from him. Originally operating from Benabrow Avenue, the practice rapidly outgrew its premises and in 2001 moved to their current location in Toorbul Street, opposite Brennan Park. "Well, the view from our front window has certainly improved" remarked Dean, "but I sit with my back to it otherwise nothing would get done!". Originally Kylie and Dean were the sole solicitors in the practice, and in fact were two of the youngest solicitors ever admitted to private practice in Queensland. They employed 4 support staff at that time. Now Files Stibbe employ 10 staff, including 3 solicitors, 2 paralegals and a number of support staff, making them one of the largest legal firms in the Caboolture Shire. All staff are employed from the local community. Files Stibbe have constantly maintained a motto of "personal and professional service" since their inception. "We have always maintained our focus on customer service. Bribie Island is a very close community and we knew that to be successful our business had to focus on our customers." Kylie and Dean have always had close ties to the community and have donated considerable time, money and expertise to local groups and associations, including the Lions Clubs of Bribie Island and Pumicestone, Rotary, ESA International (Queensland Branches), RSL Womens Auxiliary, Vietnam Veterans, War Widows Guild, Queensland Special Olympics, Bribie Island and Banksia Beach State Schools, Bribie Island Kindergarten, Bribie Island Cricket, Tennis, Rugby League, Soccer and AFL and numerous other charitable, sporting and not for profit bodies. Dean has also been a member of the Bribie Island RSL Club committee for 12 years and both he and Kylie have served on the executive committee of the Bribie Island Chamber of Commerce. "We have lived on Bribie for many years and it is home to us and our family. We live in and rely on the local community and it is nice to be able to put something back. We love it here and couldn't imagine living anywhere else" says Kylie. Dean and Kylie married in 2001 and their family has grown to include two daughters, Madison and Caitlyn. Files Stibbe have made good use of Dean's additional qualifications as a Certified Practising Accountant, providing business and financial advice to clients for many years. The firm was one of the first multi-disciplinary practices in the state, providing a "one stop shop" for clients, which is particularly valuable to Bribie residents. Today through Files Stibbe Financial Services they continue to provide access to professional accounting and financial advice for their clients.
